Yoga Props We Will Use During a Class or in Private Session
Yoga Bolster
Yoga Bolster is supportive for opening the front body when you lay down over it and the chest will open. We will use this in a variety of ways to give support so the body can relax into poses.
Strap & Blocks
2 blocks - 9"x6"x3" AND strap is a great combo to provide support for restorative or active yoga classes. To help release low back pain and raise the earth to your hands in a forward fold. Strap is great for shoulders!
Rebounder
Daily bouncing on the rebounder helps to move your lymph in your body. Lymph does not have a pump in the body so giving yourself this extra support is highly recommended.
48” with handle bar is my favorite
Hand Weights
This variety pack of hand weights is very helpful depending on how you are feeling. There is also a 5, 10, 15 set it you want to increase your strength.
Tens Unit
If you are struggling with back or shoulder pain and want to have more comfort while seated, this is something I use during my cycle or while driving for long periods of time. App controlled.
Slides for Carpet
Furniture sliders are awesome to use on furniture for strength and balance for either use on legs or for arms. This allows for a different use of the muscles.
Balance Pad (stretch calves)
This pad is great for those with Plantar Fasciitis, weak ankles, poor balance. Use it as a pad under your knees when in table or doing floor work on a hard surface.
Calf Compression
If tight calves are your nemesis each day, relax and use this on your sofa while you wind down. It is not very loud and is great for feet/ankles or calves. I set myself up each night and love it!
2 Pack - Gel Ice Packs
There are many days I need to ice my neck from a whiplash accident decades ago. These are great and I have been known to sleep with them to help with the hot flashes.
Foam Roller
This softer foam roller is firm enough to roll on without curling up and soft enough to not make you cry when doing IT band rolls or even laying over the length of it. Great to stretch out the front of the body each day.
Heavier Hand Weights
5, 10, 15 lb hand weight options for those who want to work on stronger poses for arm and shoulder strength.
Neck Stretcher
This Saunders traction machine needs to be used with use by a chiropractor to learn how to make sure it is set up correctly. I have used mine for 5 years and it helps with headaches and release of tension.
Manduka Black Mat
In my 2+decades practicing and teaching yoga this mat is the best investment I have had. It is heavy, but if you are working out at 1 location it is perfect to use. Great on hard surfaces and has appropriate padding for knees and stability for balance and support for wrists.
Foam Wedge
Measurements: 9.8”wide X 3.5”high X 11”deep
This is a great tool is you have a hard time squatting or don’t have stairs to stretch out your calves if you have plantar fasciitis.
Pool Water Weights
These weights are great for the pool and resistance underwater. You can use them together or one at a time if needed with both hands assisting to push under the water. Great for a core workout and arm strengthening.
